a little bit about me

Hello! My name is Stephanie Maeve, and I'm here to share my two favorite pastimes with you: writing and curling up with a good book. I write in lowercase, not literally, but figuratively - by sharing my humble opinions about the books I read (primarily crime fiction, historical fiction, contemporary romance, and non-fiction memoirs) and by drawing insights from my very ordinary life. 

 

I am a 35-year-old American who has been living in Gothenburg, Sweden, for the last six years. In addition to my aforementioned hobbies, I enjoy crocheting, eating, traveling, and hanging out with friends, family, and my cat, Louise. Last year, I quit my job and decade-long career in financial compliance in order to pursue a Higher Diploma in English at University College Cork. Ultimately, I want to follow my passion and hopefully find a more fulfilling career path within the freelance copywriting industry. I created this blog in order to document my journey, share my experience, and maybe even inspire others to to do the same.
